Can You Love Me Laissez-faire

Can you love me laissez-faire

when the path leads to and fro

and not succumb to daily wear?

Is love enough, when it is there

to swiftly navigate and grow?

Can you love me laissez-faire?

Like the road, you ask to share,

will you know when we should slow

And not succumb to daily wear.

Do you have the depth to care

when the icy ill winds blow?

Can you love me laissez-faire?

Are you deft and still aware

the curves in love can’t always glow

and not succumb to daily wear?

Now you pause to shake your hair

and slowly tell me, you must know

“Can you love me laissez-faire

And not succumb to daily wear?”
