I know we don’t share points of view

you skirt ‘round me, I guard ‘round you

our talks end up a hot house stew

we rail from angles that seem new

sure standing firm’s the thing to do

fixed in belief we’re different hues

so reaching mid-ground’s hard to do

and with divides one thing’s to do

as more’s ‘twixt us, than that we knew

we both share imperfections glue
