When twilight finds you by the sea
and memory tears collect
renounce the tide that has taken me.
Several weeks pass awkwardly
but never in neglect
when twilight finds you by the sea.
Tread on the sand so gently
and if I may inject -
renounce the tide that has taken me.
Explore emotions carefully.
Keep those that protect
When twilight finds you by the sea.
Should hope erode slowly
‘til doubt invites neglect
renounce the tide that has taken me.
Await the dawn patiently
and warm gleams recollect.
When twilight finds you by the sea
renounce the tide that has taken me.
